It operates in two segments, General Business and Life Business. The company offers current, escrow, joint, and domiciliary accounts; home, personal accident, car, travel, life, liability, marine, business vehicle, buildings and contents, construction, business interruption, group welfare and life, and bancassurance insurance products; asset management, such as fixed income, private equity, equities, trust services, mutual funds, alternatives, and advisory services; and estate planning, trustee, registrar, and data management services. It also provides treasury management products, such as liquidity management, treasury bills, local and foreign currency, term deposits, commercial papers and notes, trading, and global currency; yacht and aviation financing, and emergency loans; investment banking products, including corporate restructuring, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising; and wealth management products, such as financial planning, retirement planning, and managed portfolio. In addition, it offers securities trading and brokerage services, such as investment advisory, repo, brokerage accounts, equities, and margin loans; and venture building and capital under technology services. It was formerly known as Wapic Insurance Plc and changed its name to Coronation Insurance Plc in September 2020. The company was incorporated in 1958 and is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
